Celebrate, Socialize, and Share in 2025

The midwinter Celebrate, Socialize, and Share in 2025 gathering offered the Shore community a fun way to kick off the new year together and connect in meaningful ways. For families and colleagues new to Shore, it was another opportunity to experience and build on the strong sense of community that our long-standing community members speak fondly of. Excitement, conversation, and laughter filled the room throughout the event. It was inspiring to see so many of you join us for this new event and to feel the warmth and genuine positivity that provided for new relationships to form among old friendships and shared history at Shore.

The event began with a lively social gathering that transitioned into some words of positivity from Shore Head of School Amber Bock discussing what makes Shore such a special place, from the wonderful cast of characters that makes up the student body to the hardworking faculty and staff, with a special shout out and well wishes to Director of Buildings and Grounds John Borden as he returned from medical leave. She then went into detail about specific programming of interest around campus, highlighting Shore’s unique ability to level with the student every step of the way throughout their academic journey with plenty of examples from various classrooms around campus.

Bock was overjoyed by the turnout and positive energy present at the event, and summarized the gathering afterward, saying, “Shore is a place for the whole family, and it was a pleasure to host so many of you and to take a few moments to share with you what we love about the gift of your children. Starting and ending each day with such enjoyable and capable young people makes life at Shore a place where both laughter and purpose play an intrinsic part in every day. To experience this joy and many more every time you walk on Shore’s campus is a unique blessing and we are so proud to share it with you.”
