Close attention to student engagement with their learning and personal growth is at the heart of a Shore education. Shore Support Services ensure that every learner is provided the necessary assistance to achieve their individual goals and find avenues towards success.
The integral component of Support Services at Shore revolves around communication between students, faculty, staff, and the family. Together, these different groups work in unison to provide the necessary support, guidance, and strategy development to illuminate the path towards healthy learning throughout a Shore student’s day.

Any student at Shore has the opportunity to collaborate with the Support Services staff to assist with any and all aspects of academic or social life, including:

  • Developing strategies to manage organization (digital and physical)

  • Creating pathways for comprehension and active reading engagement

  • Problem solving for both short-term and long-term assignment management

  • Study habits, test preparation, and work awareness

  • Work completion coaching and independent skill development

  • Time management strategies for work and play balance

  • Specific reading instruction and language processing

  • Generating techniques for healthy self-regulation and advocacy

  • Mental and emotional health processing, discussion, and assistance

Academic Support

Shore Support Services also assist students and families with individual learner evaluations, assessments, and any recommendations provided by accredited parties. In unison with the student, family, and outside consultant, the support service team will provide the necessary assistance for any learner to find success in the classroom.
