What is Shore Giving Day?Shore Giving Day is a day when the entire Shore community rallies together to raise critical support for our school and students. Alumni, parents and caregivers, grandparents, and friends are asked to make a gift to The Shore Fund.
The day is about inspiring participation, celebrating the Shore community, and feeling good about giving. What is the impact?Shore held its first annual giving day in 2019. Since then, the 24-hour fundraising event has become a key driver of Shore Fund support. Last year on Shore Giving Day, our community raised over $220,000 from a 349 donors! Shore Giving Day also recruits new donors—especially younger alumni—which helps sustain our foundation of philanthropic support for future generations of students.
Donations to The Shore Fund are vital. Each year, The Shore Fund covers roughly 7% of the school’s operating expenses, funding priorities such as teacher compensation, curriculum development, tuition and financial assistance, and more.
The Shore Fund empowers the school to be flexible and innovative in its approach to education. The significance of this support and its impact on the student experience cannot be overstated.
How can I join the effort? You can participate by making a gift of any size to The Shore Fund. Although Shore Giving Day is May 1, you don't have to wait!
Make your gift early and help jumpstart our effort.
You can also get involved as a volunteer in the weeks leading up to Shore Giving Day. Volunteer opportunities include serving on the Shore Giving Day Planning Committee, helping to facilitate Giving Day-themed activities for students, and spreading the word to your networks on May 1.
