Happy Hour in DC: 9/26/24

On September 26, 2024 Head of School, Amber Bock, and President of the Board, Amanda Jackson, hosted a happy hour for Shore alumni and friends at FIG & OLIVE DC. Shore's Washington D.C. community is already looking forward to the next gathering!


Happy Hour in LA: 4/27/24

On April 27, 2024 Shore’s Alumni Association hosted a happy hour for alumni and friends at the Los Angeles Tennis Club.

In attendance were Jason Cahill ’82, Todd Grinnell ’91, Jocelyn Fritz Hayes ’90 and Evan Hayes, Sam Hulefeld ’90, Brandon Stroman ’94, and Nils Van Otterloo ’90. The group reconnected while enjoying a beautiful sunset and evening, reminiscing about their East Coast and Shore roots. They shared, “We wish Shore was here in LA for our kids!” Thank you, Brandon and Jocelyn, for hosting this fun event.
 

Annual Boston Meet-Up 2024

On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, Shore's Alumni Association hosted its Annual Boston Meet-Up for Alumni and Friends with 30 attendees. Alumni and former faculty (spanning from the 1990s - 2020) joined with parents of alumni, current faculty and staff, and other friends at Tony C’s Sports Bar & Grill in Somerville to reconnect. Special thanks to Alumni Association Executive Committee Co-Chairs Alex Yen '08, and Nate Morgan '08 for their efforts and leadership.

Happy Hour in LA for Alumni & Friends: 2/7/23

Shore Alumni Association Executive Committee Chair George Noble '85 and Executive Committee member Brandon Stroman '94 hosted the Shore Happy Hour in LA on February 7, 2023. The event brought west coast alumni together for an evening of laughter, nostalgia, and stories. The group reminisced, swapped stories about beloved faculty, and shared about their current endeavors. We are eager to plan our next west coast alumni gathering!

Annual Boston Meet-Up for Alumni & Friends: 1/10/23

On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, the Shore Alumni Association hosted its Annual Boston Meet-Up for Alumni and Friends with nearly 50 attendees. Alumni and former faculty (spanning from the '70s to 2019) joined with parents of alumni, current faculty and staff, and other friends at Night Shift Brewing Lovejoy Wharf to reconnect and enjoy gathering in person - the first opportunity to do so in three years! Special thanks to Alumni Association Executive Committee members George Noble '85 (Chair), Alex Yen '08, and Nate Morgan '08 for their efforts and leadership, and a shout-out to the Class of 2016 for having eight classmates in attendance! Young Alumni Gathering: 11/22/22

On November 11, 2022, Shore invited the Classes of 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 to campus for our annual Young Alumni Gathering. Over 70 Shore alumni attended along with several faculty and staff members. Alumni were able to reconnect with each other and catch up with their former teachers. An event highlight was the raffle MC'd by Upper School English teacher Louis Frank. Thank you to all who attended!

Shore's Young Alumni Virtual Trivia Night: 4/6/21

Shore's Alumni Office hosted its first-ever virtual alumni trivia event with 35 high school alumni and Grade 9 students competing alongside 11 Shore employees. Head of Upper School Gustavo Carrera welcomed the group at the beginning of the event and encouraged attendees to stay connected with Shore. A fun night was had by all!

Conversation and Music with Jazz Vocalist Lauren Henderson '02: 12/8/20

On December 8, some 50 guests tuned in via Zoom for a special virtual event featuring conversation and music with jazz vocalist Lauren Henderson ’02. The event was hosted by Pre-K teacher Beth White, who had been Henderson’s second grade teacher. “I have so many fond memories of our year together at Shore,” White said. “It’s been such a pleasure reconnecting with Lauren as an adult.”

Introducing the event, Head of School Clair Ward said, “We are thrilled to have Lauren for our very first virtual alumni program. Being together as an extended Shore community and highlighting our alumni has never been more important to us.”

Boston Networking Event: 1/8/20

On January 8, 2020, alumni, parents of alumni, and teachers joined Head of School Clair Ward and guest speakers Rufus Clark '79, Amanda Filoso Schreyer '93, Sydney Atkins '98, Porter Grieve '08, and Taylor Chin '11 for Shore's Boston Networking Event at the White Bull Tavern.

We were thrilled that more than 90 alumni from class years 2017-2020 came back to campus for Shore's annual Young Alumni Gathering on Tuesday, November 26!

Boston Happy Hour: 4/3/19

Shore hosted a Boston Happy Hour on April 3, 2019, for alumni and friends at Trillium Brewing Company in the Seaport district.

Fenway: 5/27/17


On May 27, 2017, alumni took former Head of School, Larry Griffin, to Fenway Park to watch as the Red Sox defeated the Texas Rangers.

Class of 1977 Reunion: 6/22/17


Members of the Class of 1977 gathered together in Wenham, MA, at the home of Emily Brown '81 and Stu Thorne '77 for a 40th reunion celebration on June 22, 2017.
