Science & ArtIntegrated

S.A.I.L. (Science and Art Integrated Learning) is a signature program that fosters deep understanding, creativity, and enthusiasm in young children. Guided by the Next Generation Science Standards, the curriculum is rooted in science content and uses art as a way for students to explore and demonstrate their understanding. The integrated program aims to foster independent and collaborative opportunities for meaningful discovery while encouraging many typically unmeasured aspects of student development. Students leave the classroom feeling confident, resilient, and ready to extend their learning.

In S.A.I.L. class, students in Pre-K through Grade 2 participate in hands-on experiences with a variety of media such as paint, clay, paper, and wood. Additionally, technology such as iPads and robots are integrated when they can extend student learning. Students study a diverse group of artists and scientists and learn compassion for living things through insect study and outdoor experiences.
