From the moment you set foot on campus, you'll sense the unique learning experiences and supportive community that make Shore Country Day School special. Whether it's an art class in our center for creativity, a history lesson leading to an onstage performance, or coding BeeBots for transportation in Block City, our students are always engaged and learning. The joy and excitement are palpable in every corner, from our outdoor classroom, where students engage with nature as part of our innovative curriculum, to the lively discussions around the Harkness Table.

Shore is a school where every child is known, valued, and cared for. We are a community that strives to be kind, true, respectful, open, dependable, and our best. Together, adults and children live our Community Code, caring for one another and creating an environment where everyone can be their authentic selves and thrive.

Our mission is to inspire a love of learning and encourage children to embrace academic challenge. With mentorship from our teachers and coaches, children learn to take healthy risks, become creative problem solvers, value diversity, and become compassionate citizens of the world. Bio
Amber Bock is the Head of School and Head of the Lower School at Shore. Amber has over forty years of education experience, serving in both teaching and administrative leadership roles. Her extensive administrative leadership experience includes six years as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in the Weston Public Schools, eleven years as the principal of Bates Elementary School in Wellesley, MA, and nine years as the Superintendent of Schools in Westborough, MA, where she oversaw the education of over 4,000 students and managed a diverse team of 23 administrators. Amber holds a BA in Elementary Education K-8, with a specialty in Literacy, from Wittenberg University and an MA in Educational Administration from Boston College. She has coached aspiring administrators through the Massachusetts School Administrators’ Association (MSAA) Leadership Licensing Program, as well as provided private leadership and instructional coaching to new leaders. In her free time, Amber volunteers and serves on the board of several organizations, and she enjoys relaxing with family and friends.
