Fall Flannel Fest a Great Success with Axe Throwing, Ambiance, and Antipasto Aplenty

The Shore Families Association (SFA) went all out for the Fall Flannel Fest, and their hard work was evident at this spectacular event! The Howard Gym underwent a breathtaking transformation, with amber mood lighting and intricately built indoor fire pits setting the scene for an evening of fun for the Shore community.

The warm social atmosphere felt like the perfect match for a crisp fall evening, with families, faculty, and staff coming together to enjoy a night out. The gym was a patchwork quilt of forest greens, shades of reds, navy blues, and everything in between, and the colors blended together in the low lighting as guests intermingled throughout the night. A wonderful variety of food and drink lined the left side of the gym, while a friendly and fittingly flannel-clad D.J. kept the vibrations going with an upbeat discography.

Scattered throughout the gym were a number of activities that fit the mood, including cornhole, indoor croquet, giant Jenga, and a fan favorite, faux axe throwing! The bullseyes were falling all night as friendly competition took place between attendees. Surrounding the center stage was a group of high tops, each meticulously decorated and capped off with a colored buzzer, setting the scene for the main event, a lively game of trivia that brought about rousing laughter and excitement that permeated the entire space.

An enormous thanks goes to the SFA for creating such a wonderful experience for our community.
