Spotlight on Pre-K

Shore’s Pre-K students have been very busy this trimester. Their teachers, Beth White and Tracy Keith, continue to shine as they identify and develop engaging learning and growth opportunities across the campus.

The weather has been all over the place this fall, but it’s the most exciting for our Pre-K students when it rains. When it rains at Shore, out come the Muddy Buddies suits! These rain suits allow our Pre-K students to enjoy the inclement weather to the fullest extent. Hard to miss on the playground, the Muddy Buddies allow for all sorts of splashing, puddle jumping, and other outdoor activities.

Pre-K students stepped out of their comfort zones and took center stage at an assembly with the help of Mrs. Pisanelli for a demonstration of Tabata, a style of high-intensity interval training (HIIT). The audience loved the performance and even had an opportunity to participate for themselves! The performance featured a variety of different exercises, and the performers embraced the spotlight in an energizing display.

In Scienc and Art Integrated Learning (S.A.I.L.), Pre-K students enjoyed a visit from Nurse McKay in which they learned about listening to their bodies and were captivated by a stethoscope demonstration. The students’ eyes lit up when they were handed stethoscopes of their own and dolls to practice on, and in the blink of an eye, the S.A.I.L. classroom became a bustling medical clinic filled with learning, experimentation, and enthusiastic practitioners.

Watching our Pre-K students learn and grow is one of the greatest joys one can experience on Shore’s campus, and we’re incredibly lucky to have such talented teachers leading the way.
