Battle of Undefeated Teams

A bit rusty after a two week hiatus from game play, Exeter scored first. Similar to the game at St. Mark's, the team stayed strong and continued to dodge and pass their way to the goal. With Shore dominating play in their half of the field, Maddie M put Shore on the scoreboard and the team entered halftime in a tense 1-1 tie. The girls confidently entered the second half with Anna, Maddie, and Caroline doing everything in their power to keep the ball in our attacking end of the field. Anna scored on a sizzling shot and Shore happily took the lead. Exeter pressed hard in the final few minutes of game play but Holly, Catherine, Abby, and Julia worked their magic to anchor the defense. The win was a total team effort and one that should give the team plenty of momentum as it prepares for another strong opponent on Friday at Fay!
